Beta-Alanine- Consistently taking Beta-Alanine increases your muscles’ natural stores of Carnosine, which is your body’s acidic buffer. By having more carnosine available, you can delay the muscle exhaustion brought on by the acidic by-products of anaerobic energy production. In practice, this means that you can go harder and longer in all-out efforts that last 0.5-10 minutes.

Eating a small snack with your pre-workout beverage can help reduce this side-effect, as the beta-alanine will be released into your bloodstream a little slower.
