Why is Third Party Testing Important?
Let’s be honest. Bringing a supplement to market is not very difficult. Because of this low barrier to entry, hundreds of companies have products out there, and most of them have no third-party testing for adulteration, presence of banned substances, or ingredient dose verification. If you are a competitive athlete, or you just don’t like accidentally taking anabolic steroids, this is important. A recent 2023 review paper found that 15% of the 634 supplements tested contained non-disclosed anabolic steroids, and 9% contained banned stimulants. Informed Sport Program
All Tier 1 Supplements products are batch-tested through the Informed Sport Program. Here are some details about the program:
-Third-party testing organization, trusted by organizations such as the US Department of Defense, British Armed Forces, NFL, MLB, and UFC.
-Every product is required to be batch-tested. This means that no product gets to consumers without being tested for banned substances.
-Every batch is tested for over 250 compounds considered prohibited in sport and/or harmful to health. This includes substances like anabolic agents, stimulants, narcotics, beta-2 agonists, diuretics, and new/ emerging threats.
Whey Protein Isolate
The Purest Protein
Whey protein isolate goes through a rigorous filtering process that results in a product that has minimal carbs and fats and maximum protein content.
FAQ
The two most common forms of protein powders are isolates and concentrates. Concentrates are not filtered to the same extent as isolates, and as a results have a little bit more carbohydrates and fats left over. While there is nothing wrong with that, we wanted our first protein product to be as pure as possible. That way those who need an added protein bump in their day can do so without adding unwanted calories.
This is highly dependent on your goal. If you are interested in maximizing strength, power, and muscle retention, aiming for at least 1.6g per kilogram of body weight per day is appropriate.
